Advertisements worth a thousand words

In computer class I made an advertisement for my friends business called Cakes by Rebekah. My intended audience for this advertisement was girls. I made my advertisement look pink and girly for that reason. This is the Advertisement I made:
I used a variety of tools to create this image. I used a word box to type the slogan into the advertisement. I also used a special brush tool that I downloaded off of a website to make the background. I also had to crop all of the pictures of cakes. I had to do this so the focal point of the picture would be the cakes and not have anything distracting on the side of the photo. I then dragged the cake pictures onto the advertisement and tilted it so it would look less up tight and more flowing.  I also put the logo at the bottom of the page

Logo

I made a logo in my computer 2 class this week.  I made a logo to my friend’s new business she opened up. Her business is called Cakes by Rebekah. It is a small business now that works out of her house but she is slowly getting a strong following, which is why I thought she should have a logo. I wanted my logo to communicate to clients and people who saw it that it is girly and whimsical. That is why I chose a girly, light pink and white. I also added a splash of light brown for the cake. I used proximity and grouping technic on this logo. As you can see I put “Cakes” big and by itself, I then put “by Rebekah” under it and to the right of “Cakes”. To balance it out, I put the Cake I drew above “by Rebekah”, and next to “Cakes”. I believe it is Grouped well.  Also, has great balance and alignment.
